Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in metal fabrication and assembly, is seeking a Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Welder

Location: Cresco, IA

Pay Range: $19+ varies by experience.

Shift: 1st 

What's the Job?

• Perform set up, fit, fabricate, and wire feed (MIG) weld standard aluminum or steel components on a repetitive line of standard products.
• Weld straight to minimal curving, ensuring no grader distances greater than 12 inches.
• Verify welding results by inspecting and testing welds for quality and conformance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and work from sketches or verbal instructions.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding, supporting sanitary welding and fitting of parts.

What's Needed?

• Ability to read, write, and understand instructions, procedures, drawings, and blueprints.
• Minimum of 6 months’ previous welding experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units accurately.
• Able to accurately read a tape measure and operate basic hand tools.
• Must pass pre-employment welding skills assessment.
