Fondomonte is looking for a highly talented welder/fabricator to join our dynamic farming team. This position is primarily responsible for various welding and fabrication activities of structural sheet metal products and other fabrication processes on various materials. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products
• Install and repair various equipment and components
• Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions
• Perform welding & fabrication of heavy equipment parts and assemblies to meet established quality standards, production procedures and efficiency expectations
• Work as part of a team coordinating work and assisting in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts
• Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position
• Inspect equipment to maintain functional equipment if any equipment needs repairs notify supervisor/lead or maintenance department
• Safely operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs needs
• Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary by department or shift Lead
• Hardfacing skid loader buckets and tillage equipment
• Mending seeders, spreaders and other machines that can break down in the field
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

 Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabricate from those prints
• Welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other required surfaces and material; aluminum experience is a plus
• Ability to proficiently use cutting torch, grinders, and iron worker
• Familiarity with basic tools of measuring and when to use for inspection of part
• Knowledge of welding principles and techniques
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Standing for long periods of time
• Bending, lifting and pushing up to 50 pounds is required
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is .
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a welder.
• Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.
• Safely operate associated hand and power tools such as saws, grinders, measuring tools, etc.
• Mechanical aptitude with proficient shop math skills.
• Drug free with excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
• Outstanding attention to detail

Job Context :

• Work hours may vary based on business needs, flexibility to work on the weekend is required.
• This job is located in Blythe, California
• Experience in the Agriculture industry is a plus

Pay: $21.00 per hour with opportunity for growth 

Schedule: M-Friday 6:00 - 4:00 and Saturday 1/2 day

Physical requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, reach, push, and/or pull; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
• Ability to lift 50+lbs and work in the field, in an outdoor environment, or shop
