We are in search of welding line supervisors to join our team. A welding line supervisor is responsible for ensuring safety, productivity, cleanliness and maintenance in their line and surrounding areas at all times.

The line supervisor will communicate and plan with the production manager regarding upcoming orders, time and resource requirements in orders to ensure deliveries are met.

This is a dayshift position, our day shift runs from 7am to 4:45pm Friday through Sunday. Overtime may be required after hours or Saturdays depending on demand.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times

2. Ensure employee and line productivity through constant communication, time tracking and motivation.

3. Ensure equipment is properly maintained.

4. Ensure company policy is followed by direct reports and others in the immediate work area

5. Motivate the team and ensure a fast paced, fun and collaborative work environment.

6. Quickly solve problems as they occur to keep the line producing.

7. Make sure accidents and rework are properly investigated and documented.

8. Monitor and document employee performance or lack there of.

Preferred knowledge or characteristics :

1. Welding, both GTAW and GMAW for carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

2 Supervisory experience, we are looking for leaders who can motivate and lead a team through high pressure fast paced situations

3. Extreme ownership, we are looking for individuals who own their domain, no excuses, take control and finish the job while also assisting and coaching others to do the same.

4. Ability to manage change, we are a job shop with changing requirements everyday, we are looking for supervisors who can adapt and overcome.

5. Lean manufacturing experience, our supervisors are expected to participate in and enforce 5S principles along with other lean manufacturing philosophies.

Ameritex Machine and Fabrication is a high mix, quick turn, and ISO 9001 2015 certified sheet metal and structural fabrication facility that uses a variety of equipment such as CNC Fiber Lasers, CNC punch presses, CNC press brakes, and tube lasers to support multiple assembly lines. As a rapid parts manufacturer, our company serves customers in energy, power generation, oil and gas, automotive, electric vehicle, and aerospace. We operate out of a state of the art 100,000 sqft facility in Conroe, Texas.
