Full Time Addiction Medicine Physician, 40hrs/wk.

Seeking a full time addiction medicine physicians to help lead a comprehensive SUD program just outside NYC.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide wide-ranging treatment in the area of addiction medicine as part of the team for inpatient detoxification and rehabilitation services, as well outpatient Medicated Assisted Treatment including Suboxone, Vivitrol and Methadone.

This position offers the right candidate an opportunity to work with a committed team of professionals to provide increased access to evidence based SUD treatments. S/He will provide clinical supervision and support to full-time and part-time providers delivering care in all program areas.

The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Addiction Medicine, or a related field. Certification/eligibility in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine is preferred but not required.

A buprenorphine waiver and experience with inpatient detoxification/rehabilitation a plus.

Highlights include:

• Assessment and management of candidates presenting with withdrawal symptoms.
• Coordinate patients’ progress and treatment plans with an active multi-disciplinary team including counselors, nursing and psychiatry.
• Evaluate patients for medication assisted treatments, working collaboratively with staff to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
• Supervise medical students.
• Work closely with the Medical Director on projects assessing current practice and working to implement the most current evidence-based care for patients with substance use disorders.
