Assistant Property Manager/Customer Care Specialist

Upland, CA

We are a privately owned offsite property management company, managing homes, condos, townhomes and smaller apartment buildings in the San Gabriel Valley, Pomona Valley and Inland Empire. Established in 1997, our corporate offices are in Upland with a satellite office in Hemet. With our growth history, there is tremendous opportunity to learn and grow with the company. We have an immediate opening for an Assistant Property Manager. We are seeking a team player organized, hard working, self starter, friendly and outgoing personality & professional appearance. Must have EXCELLENT listening, writing, speaking, interpersonal and social skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Duties of the Assistant Property Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Together with the Property Manager, work to meet the needs of each property owner and tenant.
  • Work in unison with the Maintenance Coordinator to assist with all maintenance repair requests and work orders from tenants and owners.
  • Coordinate & effectively communicate with owners, tenants, vendors.
  • Assist with bidding property rehabs and turns, scheduling vendors, checking on work performed.
  • Work with Cities, Fire Departments, HUD etc on approvals & inspections.
  • Perform tasks using Appfolio Property Management Software, Docusign and Winforms.
  • Be responsible for preparing 3-day notices, change of terms notices, move out acknowledgements, maintenance/update memorandums, turning on/off utilities, preparing move in packets, taking messages when manager is not available, drive by and inspection follow up notices, etc.
  • Uploading documents and make changes in our system with the goal of maintaining the integrity of our data base information.
  • Generally, help out where needed, filling in for receptionist.

Ideal candidate must be well organized, energetic, able to multi-task, thrive in a fast paced environment, stay calm and be organized. Knowledge of Appfolio, Winforms and Docusign is helpful.

Minimum Mandatory Requirements
  • 2 years minimum in Property Management.
  • Knowledge of home repair/maintenance issue terms.
  • Basic computer skills Zipforms, Docusign, Excel, Word and knowledge of Appfolio helpful.
  • California Drivers License and willingness to drive delivering and posting notices, pick ups etc.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm - Monday thru Friday.
  • Benefits: Medical Health Insurance & Paid Holidays after 3 months, accrue up to 6 sick days annually, one week paid vacation after 1 year.
  • A company car is provided for all company related appointments.
