An opportunity has arisen for an Assistive Technology Specialist to support students in a K-12 educational setting for the full school year. This role is based in Riverside, CA, and involves working with a diverse caseload to enhance learning through technology.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education, Assistive Technology, or a related field.
• Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with special needs.
• Proficiency in various assistive technology tools and software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized technology plans.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in assistive technology.

Responsibilities:

• Assess student needs for assistive technology and recommend appropriate tools.
• Provide training and support to students, teachers, and staff on the use of assistive technology.
• Collaborate with education professionals to integrate technology into the classroom.
• Develop personalized plans for students requiring assistive technology.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of assistive technology implementations.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to discussions regarding student support.
