Overview Position Title: Azure Cloud Security Engineer Location: Remote/ Hybrid Experience: 5+ years in Information Technology Engineering; recent focus on Azure security (last 2-3 years). The role focuses on engineering security solutions in Azure. Initial project scope includes re-tooling rule-based access control across the Azure environment. Responsibilities Design and implement Azure security solutions and configurations. Maintain a system-level view of the overall security environment and identify configuration drifts in software, hardware, and system design. Develop and maintain Sentinel playbooks and procedures for incident response. Automate tasks with scripting (PowerShell, Python) and other automation tools. Hands-on Azure administration and security feature implementation. Leverage threat protection tools, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, to monitor and protect Azure resources. Qualifications In-depth knowledge of Azure security best practices. Experience with security monitoring tools and incident response. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Certifications preferred (e.g., SSCP, CISSP, Azure Security). Familiarity with AWS is a plus. Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology Engineering. Experience and Education Proven experience as an Azure Administrator or Engineer with a focus on security. Strong understanding of Azure security features and best practices. Experience with security monitoring and incident response.
