Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Safety Manager with large-scale data center experience to oversee and enhance safety protocols on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in OSHA regulations, risk management, and compliance management. This role is crucial in ensuring the health and safety of all personnel while maintaining adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs that comply with OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on occupational health, safety practices, and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into construction management processes.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure proper documentation of incidents.
- Maintain records of safety audits, inspections, and training sessions for compliance purposes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns on construction sites.
- Stay updated on changes in NEC codes and other relevant regulations affecting construction safety.
Requirements
- 3 years' minimum experience in a safety management position
- Experience supervising a ground-up data center build
- MEP experience preferred, especially with electrical
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in construction safety management or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, risk management principles, EHS practices, and compliance management.
- Familiarity with construction management software to track safety metrics and incidents effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and motivate staff on safety practices.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and implementing effective solutions.
- Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., CSP or CHST) is a plus.
