Freight Forwarder - Chicago, IL
$80,000 - $90,000 per year


I'm currently seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to join a well-established logistics operation based in Chicago, Illinois . This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to global customers.



What You'll Do:

• Coordinate and manage international and domestic air/ocean shipments
• Communicate with carriers, customs brokers, and clients to ensure smooth cargo movement
• Prepare and review documentation including B/Ls, commercial invoices, and export declarations
• Track, trace, and troubleshoot shipments as needed
• Deliver timely updates and maintain strong customer relationships

What We're Looking For:

• Prior freight forwarding experience (air and/or ocean)
• Solid understanding of Incoterms, documentation, and compliance requirements
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proactive communication style and problem-solver mindset
• Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team
