Position Title: Junior Business Analyst – Omnichannel Systems

Department: IT

Reports To: Director, Omnichannel Systems

Location: New York, NY

Position Purpose:

The Junior Business Analyst supports the delivery and optimization of retail and digital projects across G-III’s brands. This individual will assist in gathering business requirements, analyzing processes, supporting project initiatives, and facilitating communication between IT and business stakeholders. The role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to gain experience in retail systems, ecommerce platforms, and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Process Support

  • Assist in gathering, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements for retail and ecommerce initiatives.
  • Participate in process mapping and data flow documentation for new and existing business processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Retail, Ecommerce, Marketing, Logistics, etc.) to support new systems or enhancements.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test cases, coordinating test activities, and tracking issues.
  • Help coordinate project timelines, follow-ups, and action items under the guidance

of senior team members.

Business Partnering & Communication

  • Act as a liaison between business users and IT to clarify requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Assist in documenting meeting notes, user stories, process flows, and training materials.
  • Learn and understand the business processes of the various departments served to offer relevant technology insights.
  • Communicate project status and open issues to stakeholders as needed. System Support & Documentation
  • Help investigate and document system issues or enhancement requests from end-users.
  • Support the team in triaging production issues and facilitating timely resolutions.
  • Maintain and update business and system documentation in shared repositories. Training & User Enablement
  • Assist in preparing end-user training materials or documentation for new or updated systems.
  • Support the onboarding of new users with basic system walk-throughs and Q&A.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a

related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • MUST HAVE 1–3 years of business analyst, project coordinator, or relevant internship experience in retail / commerce
  • Exposure to retail systems, ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify), or enterprise software (e.g., ERP, OMS, PIM) is a plus.
  • Prior experience in documenting requirements, process mapping, or performing

UAT is beneficial.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or Visio is a plus.
  • Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The pay range for this position is: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
