This role is ideal for candidates with medical experience such as CNA, CMA, CCMA, or Phlebotomist. While prior experience is preferred, it is not a requirement. The position offers a 3+ month contract with the potential for conversion to a permanent role. Certified Medical Assistant Schedule & Location: Schedule: Full-time, with standard business hours Location: Salem, VA 24153, United States Certified Medical Assistant Salary/Wage: Pay: $16-18 per hour, depending on experience Certified Medical Assistant Duties: Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms Record essential patient data, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes Obtain patient records required by the physician prior to treatment or procedures Assist in preparing and stocking exam/treatment rooms, and order supplies as needed Support physicians during exams and procedures Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated by RN or physician Ensure exam/treatment rooms follow disinfection protocols Answer patient calls and direct them to the appropriate physician, nurse, or pharmacist Process prescriptions and follow-up calls as directed by physicians and RN Notify physicians about patient no-shows or reschedules Perform administrative tasks such as typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, and reception duties Enter orders into the system under provider supervision Certified Medical Assistant Required Qualifications: 0-3 years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant High school diploma or equivalent required Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 3 months of hire Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred Some state regulations may require additional certifications Certified Medical Assistant Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and move around the clinical area Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed Manual dexterity to handle medical tools and supplies Certified Medical Assistant Education: Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred Ongoing education may be required to maintain certifications and qualifications If you think you’re a GREAT candidate and would like to be considered for immediate consideration, call/text Day Green at +1-469-840-5624 or email at Dgreen@alinestaffing.com A-Line Staffing Solutions
