Patent Litigation Attorney

Location: New York City, NY

Salary: $275,000 to $379,000 base salary, bonus based on exceeding billables and reaching other individual and group goals

Schedule: 2000+ annual billed expectation

A prestigious law firm with one of the nation’s most active intellectual property litigation practices is seeking a highly qualified associate with 3–4 years of experience for its fast-growing west coast IP litigation team. The firm is renowned for handling groundbreaking patent, trade secrets, and commercial disputes in the high technology, software, digital media, and semiconductor industries.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

• 3–4 years of experience litigating intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent and trade secrets disputes.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills are essential for this highly intensive technical role.
• Must be admitted to the state bar (or eligible for admission based on UBE's); USPTO bar admission is preferred, Active USPTO registration required.
• Ability to manage complex cases and collaborate effectively within a team setting.
• Day-to-day includes drafting, preparing and responding to multi-disciplinary groups regarding technical legal documentation for review.
• Strong academic credentials and prior experience at a private practice law firm with experience litigating in intellectual property and patent courts.
• Graduate degrees in Biology, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science is highly sought after for this need.
