Ergon Refining in Vicksburg currently has an opening for a Pilot Plant Operator B. This is a process driven and mechanical position as part of process support whose primary function is to research and develop crude assays and refinery process conditions, catalyst, charge stocks, and products.

Pilot Plant Operator B Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Intermediate knowledge of refining processes, process operation, mechanical, and computer skills needed
  Able to maintain good working relationship with other refinery personnel
• Must have successfully completed and passed a Functional Job Capacity Evaluation (FCE)

Pilot Plant Operator B Responsibilities:

• Maintain safe working habits and a "Safety First" attitude.
• Must cover night shifts as needed for 24hr production
• Operate and maintain the PDU, SDA, and crude fractionation equipment.
  
• Organize and ensure retain of PDU, SDA, and crude fractionation samples.
• Maintain PDU, SDA, and crude fractionation data files generated from test runs.
• Run catalyst trials, test runs, and fractionation efforts as assigned.
• Perform turnaround work to clean equipment and load/unload catalyst as needed
• Perform maintenance on pumps, tubing, and instrumentation when required
• Troubleshooting equipment issues during run cycles.
• Assist in PDU, SDA, and crude fractionation upgrades or modification.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. A clean MVR is required.
