Overview Join to apply for the Power Plant Operator (NO HVAC) role at Memorial Hospital Belleville and Memorial Hospital Shiloh Base pay range: $20.17/hr - $33.51/hr This range is provided by Memorial Hospital Belleville and Memorial Hospital Shiloh. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities Keeps equipment clean and operational. Handles and disposes of hazardous and or infectious waste properly and practices infection control. Adheres to regulatory guidelines. Operates, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains all physical plant equipment in compliance with all department procedures and policies, and all applicable compliance, safety, federal, state and local regulations. Completes all assigned critical and routine equipment preventative maintenance by utilizing approved procedures, department policies, and manufacturer’s specifications. Notifies appropriate leadership in the event of equipment malfunction, boiler casualty, or any other unforeseen event that negatively impact the operation of the boiler plant or the hospital steam system. Monitors elevators and determines if a repairman needs to be dispatched. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial, offering medical and surgical services plus critical care, is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. In addition, Memorial Belleville recently was accredited by the American College of Radiology as a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center. Since 2008, it has been designated as a Magnet®-recognized organization for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Memorial Hospital Shiloh , a 94-bed, all-private suite hospital was recognized with Magnet status in 2018 and provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services plus critical care. The goal of the Plant Operations/Maintenance Department is to provide a safe, comfortable, compliant physical environment. The Plant Operations/Maintenance department performs routine repair and maintenance and renders services essential to hospital, office buildings and off-site services.
