KG/KNA is hiring in our Hudson and Morris County offices:
A new opportunity at our recently reopened Hoboken, NJ location for: Project managers, Job Captains, and strong Intermediates. We are staffing our office on the waterfront at the NJ Transit/Hudson County Light rail/PATH station and Hudson Ferry Terminal, fifty steps from all station platforms.
KG/KNA is celebrating our 35th year of practice in 2024 - join us as we continue to expand in the tri-state area. With offices in Harding Twp, NJ, and Stonington, CT the firm is positioned to enjoy continued growth as we service our bedrock clients in the pending 2025 recovery.
Active in commercial office, mixed-use, residential, industrial/logistics, health and hospital, education as well as urban design/planning and redevelopment work for existing and repositioned sites across the tri-state. Our staff is slated to expand in the next six months, with three positions available in Hoboken this fall.

We are actively seeking three positions or more to fill:
Project Managers - 7-10 years of professional experience is required, a master’s degree in architecture is preferred.
Members of the Leadership team on a case-by-case basis, Senior PMs and Junior PMs are tasked with the overall management of client and project demands day to day and those areas of work include - Client communications, project records, project documents including programming sheets, design and technical drawings, specifications, budgets, bid reviews, field notes, payment applications, etc.
Job Captains - 5-7 years of professional experience and a bachelor’s degree in architecture is required.
Senior technical staff persons, whose principal role is the execution of project drawings, specifications, and similar issues. Project architects are also expected to be the eyes and ears of the firm on site and to carefully examine both the execution of the work and the contractor and vendors compliance with the terms of firm documents and contract agreements. PA's/JC's are distinguished by their licensing status. Project Architects and Job Captains are principally responsible for code review and compliance and are expected to perform these duties with upmost care and to report and suspected non complaint or nonconforming issues to their senior team members for action.
Intermediates - 3-5 years of professional experience and a bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design is required.
Intermediate, and junior staff members. All staff levels are degreed professionals many of which are in mid cycle in their licensing process. All are expected to perform their duties to the highest levels of professional conduct and to consult regularly with senior team members for advice and direction on matters that fall outside their direct area of expertise. The firm maintains a standards and template program located on our server to assist staff level personnel in the conduct of their daily duties that can include Project development, schematic and technical drawings, budgets, product investigations, shop drawing are review in conjunction with a senior professional etc.
