Job Description
York, PA based Mechanical Contractor has an immediate opening for an experienced sheet metal shop fabricator. Experience required in layout and fabrication of light gauge duct, up to 1/4" sheet hot rolled steel, and stainless steel. This is a great opportunity in a long-term position for a fabricator with good communication skills and the ability to interact well with customers and project managers. Candidate must have a minimum of five years of shop fabrication and layout experience, is self-driven, able to manage themselves and can work alone. Duties include: Metal fabrication, maintaining all shop equipment, receiving material and occasional estimating and quoting of small sheet metal projects utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel.
Shop equipment includes shears, brakes, iron workers, punch press, welding equipment, van stone machines, rolls, band saws, plasma burning table, horizontal mill and duct forming machines.
