\n Salary: $23.00-$25.00
\n Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6 month contract assignment.

\n What’s a typical day as a Transportation Planner? You’ll be: \n

\n\t
• Executes and monitors all logistics activities required for the timely and efficient transportation of goods. \n\t
• These tasks will be accomplished using 3rd party Common Carriers, an internal Transportation Management System (IT software for tendering loads as well as manual processes of emails and phones), an internal dock scheduling system, and multiple Warehouse Management Systems. \n\t
• Optimizes carrier capacity to drive up efficiencies and minimize transportation costs. Works with \n\t
• Carriers on a partnership basis to include regular meeting cadences which include the exchange of performance scorecards. \n\t
• Communicates with all carriers to manage and resolve open issues related to the movement of goods. \n\t
• Collaborates daily with Customer Service to review any short lead orders, special requests or discrepancies. \n\t
• Plans and monitors inbound and outbound shipping activities including, dock door activity and traffic flow. \n\t
• Analyzes inventory levels and bottling line attainment to support a JIT throttling of components to production lines. \n\t
• Navigates systems to solve issues that create barriers to steady transportation flow. \n

\n• Possess strong communication skills to manage and resolve issues with carriers effectively.
\n• Are adept at analyzing inventory levels and optimizing shipping activities to support production lines.
