Job Overview: We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide Outpatient Nursing Services across multiple healthcare centers in South Dakota, serving diverse patient populations. The selected candidates will deliver essential healthcare services and collaborate with the Out-Patient Nurse Supervisor and the Chief Nurse Executive to meet the unique needs of rural patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care for outpatients of all ages, including EKG completion, cardiac monitoring, wound care, diabetes education, immunizations, and patient education.
Perform head-to-toe assessments, preventative wellness screenings (e.g., diabetes foot checks, intimate partner violence, falls risk, depression screening).
Administer medications (PO, IM, IV) and assist in minor procedures, catheter care, DME fitting, and collection of lab samples.
Conduct nursing reassessments, adjusting care plans based on patient health status.
Educate patients and families about disease processes, care plans, and necessary treatments.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and ensure patient confidentiality, adhering to CMS and TJC standards.
Respond to emergency situations, including performing CPR, recognizing anaphylaxis, and assisting in resuscitations.
Use the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to document clinical care.
Collaborate with primary care providers and healthcare professionals for patient care coordination.
Qualifications:

Valid, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state or territory.
At least 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience in acute care or specialty units.
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association).
Experience with EHR systems is highly recommended.
Knowledge and adherence to IHS infection control, safety, and patient care standards.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to educate and communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Work Schedule:

Potential shifts include 8-hour or 10-hour shifts based on department needs, with 30-minute lunch breaks.
Shifts may vary, including Day Shift (0800-1630 or 0830-1900), Evening Shift (1030-1900), Sunday Clinic (1000-1830), and Holiday Clinic (1000-1830).
Schedule monitored and assigned by the Department Nurse Supervisor.
