Qualifications

\n\n

\n\t
• Education: Must meet the education requirement for diagnostic medical ultrasound or echocardiography ultrasound certification with either CCI or ARDMS; Associate’s degree preferred.\n\t
• Experience: Entry level, at least 1 year of clinical experience (including time spent in an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program) - must have at least 6 months scanning experience.\n\t
• License/Certification: Registered Vascular Technologist certification required within 12 months of hire. ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.\n

Responsibilities

\n\n

\n\t
• Performs appropriate ultrasound procedures and records anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician.\n\t
• Assists the physician in gathering sonographic data necessary to diagnose a variety of conditions and diseases.\n\t
• Obtains, reviews, and integrates pertinent patient medical history and supporting clinical data to facilitate optimum diagnostic results.\n\t
• Provides patient education related to medical ultrasound.\n\t
• Records and processes sonographic data.\n\t
• Provides patient services in a variety of medical settings.\n\t
• Performs quality assurance checks on equipment, ensuring proper safety standards are met.\n
