Job Description:
As a Web Accessibility Tester, you will lead testing and audit activities using manual and automated accessibility tools and assistive technologies. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and applicable standards by performing functional and regression testing of web and mobile applications.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead accessibility testing using manual tools and assistive technologies to evaluate conformance to WCAG and regulatory requirements
• Conduct accessibility evaluations using automated tools and manual testing (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, etc.)
• Develop, document, and manage test plans, test cases, and scripts for multiple projects
• Perform functional, end-to-end, and regression testing to ensure reliability and accessibility
• Create and maintain accessibility testing standards, guidelines, and playbooks
• Report defects and manage critical ADA issues, ensuring timely resolution
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and clients to understand requirements and provide feedback
• Act as an accessibility subject matter expert and participate in system design and usability testing
• Foster ADA awareness by providing project-based training and support

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience as a Quality Analyst with strong QA methodology and practice knowledge
• Expertise with automated testing tools and test management software (e.g., Jira, GitLab)
• Extensive experience with ADA tools and standards (WAVE, JAWS, axe, ANDI, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with knowledge of WCAG 2.0/2.1
• Ability to lead QA testers and provide best practice solutions for testing and development teams
• Hands-on experience using assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, etc.) on different devices and operating systems
• Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA) or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification
• Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $60.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
