Job Description

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking detail?oriented and proactive professionals to join our team as a Billing Advocate. This hybrid, full?time opportunity offers a consistent schedule of Monday?Friday 8?AM?4:30?PM; onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and from?home Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays after training. Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Process claims reports and upload all accounts that require claim submission
  • Verify eligibility, member benefits, authorization requirements and billing address of each claim to be submitted
  • Review UB04 information, correct claim errors, print and submit each UB04 claim with all required attachments
  • Track receipt of each claim, and periodically call or check online for claim status
  • Work the claims dashboard for claim follow?up and documentation
  • For claims paid, verify receipt of payment and review if paid in accordance with expected reimbursement
  • Refer denied or under?paid claims to appeals team
  • Request adjustments to resolve paid, under?paid or denied accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of claims reports
  • Closely communicate and coordinate with the client hospitals with respect to their accounts
  • Respond to other tasks assigned by the department manager
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications And Requirements
  • High School diploma required.
  • 1+ years experience in hospital or professional claim billing and follow?up preferred.
  • 1+ years experience working in applicable electronic medical records such as EPIC, Cerner, Meditech, etc. preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, Windows, and Exchange email required.
  • Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, and helpful).
  • Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally, and to interact in a professional manner with colleagues, patients, public, and client staff members.
  • Strong analytical and problem?solving skills a must.
  • Ability to multi?task; excellent organizational and planning skills required.
  • Remote and hybrid positions require a home internet connection that meets the companys upload and download speed criteria.
