The Manager of Sterile Processing will report to the SPD director and they will be supported by the SPD staff. They will collaborate with the infection control department, the operating room team, and quality and compliance personnel to maintain high standards of sterile processing, contributing to patient safety and the hospital's overall operational efficiency.
The Manager of the Sterile Processing Department is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of sterilization and instrument processing, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves managing staff, conducting regular training sessions, and implementing best practices for infection control. Additionally, the SPD Manager is tasked with maintaining inventory levels, coordinating with surgical teams, and optimizing workflow efficiency to support patient care. Strong leadership and attention to detail are essential for maintaining high standards in sterile processing.
