We are actively recruiting an experienced architectural Senior Lighting Designer to join our collaborative and innovative firm in our Dallas office location to support major projects in market sectors including Aviation, Corporate Workplace, Data Centers, Healthcare, K-12 and Higher Education. Candidate will work closely with staff and principals on a wide variety of projects both domestic and international. Project locations will require occasional travel. Responsibilities Collaborate and administer a variety of tasks in the complete design process from schematic design through construction administration on projects of varying scale and scope Generate creative design solutions within the functional parameters of a project Assist with leading other team members and providing mentorship Coordinate with a variety of outside consultants Conceptualize design ideas Review submittal/shop drawings Apply integrated lighting controls and buildings systems including AGI lighting calculations Execute drawings, details and renderings in CAD Facilitate physical model construction and lighting mock-ups Fixture specification and review Attend and conduct presentations Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Architectural or Theatrical Lighting Design/ Engineering, Architecture (NCARB accredited), Interior Design (CIDA accredited) or related degree• Professional registration in architecture or interior design a plus• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, AGI32 (or other lighting simulation software), AutoCAD and REVIT, Rhino or other 3D modeling program• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment• Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail• Familiarity with IESNA guidelines and lighting design best practices• Understanding and knowledge of the practice of architecture and architecture design protocols and methods• Proficiency in integrated lighting controls and buildings systems; confident use of AGI lighting calculations• Competent use of energy codes and use with sustainable design, including the LEED rating systems• 7+ years or more of experience in lighting design At Corgan, we believe social responsibility should be a holistic approach to supporting the community and environment.
